Happy Easter. [16 Apr 2006|12:23pm]
Wow, it's been a LONG time since I've updated this!

Thought I might write about my life right now. Things are pretty nuts.

I start a field placement on May 3rd. I'm working at Maclaren McCann. I'm very nervous, as this is what I want to do with the rest of my life, but I'm also excited. I'm happy that I'm making some progress in life.

June 1st my lovely boy will point his car this way and start the transition of moving. I'm actually going to be driving with him, as 20 hours is an awfully long time to drive all by yourself. We will either be getting an apartment for June or July. It really depends on the apartments that become available. We'll be staying in Alliston. I don't want to move to Toronto until I HAVE to.

I hope everyone gets a lovely turkey dinner tonight. I sure don't. I'm stuck working :(. It's no surprise though, as I work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of every weekend. $$$$$$.

School is almost done for a year. Nuts! I'm half way there.

I'm going over to Grammas for a bit, before I have to work. So I'd better go get ready. Have a good one.

[29 Dec 2005|10:11pm]
Merry Belated Christmas to everyone!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season. Mine was alright. Mom had to work Christmas day, and I worked Boxing Day, so our Christmas wasn't like it normally is, but oh well! I got to spend a little time with family, so that was nice.

From my parents I recieved a Motorola Razr phone. SO, my phone book was deleted. I don't have Tiffy's #'s anymore, as well as everyone else from Toronto (minus Nat, who I got to talk to quickly over the net!) If you're reading this and care to give me your number, you can email it to me.

The Thursday before Christmas, we had to put Scruffy down. It was really sad, but he's in a better place. He spent his last days hid behind a computer desk, peeing in my room and biting me when I tried to pet him. He was just getting really old and wasn't enjoying life. We just pray we did the right thing.

Ryan came down for a few days too! I miss him so much. He's my sugarplum butthead. He got videogames for Christmas, so everytime I call, I can guess what he's doing.

New Year's Eve, work is having our staff party. I work New Year's, so I'm going to stay in Alliston and attend the party. I went out and bought a really pretty dress for it. It's like a sage, sheer green with rouching in the tummy area. Then I got some gold shoes with beading (normally, I hate beaded shoes, but I SWEAR they were the only ones I could find!). I also bought a tummy and thigh minimizer so everything looks tighter. Pretty pathetic that I'm excited to wear it, but I can't stay firm any other way (and honestly, I don't really care that much!!!)

Resolutions for 2006?: Volunteer tons more. Especially around the holiday times. I used to always buy tons of food for foodbanks, and haven't really had the funds lately, so I'm hoping to give more time. Also, continue to strive living in a Gandhi inspired fashion. No violence. less hatred (I'm being realistic) and more peace promotion. What can I say, I'm a hippie at heart!

I hope everyone is doing well. I can't wait to return to school on Wednesday. How silly is that? But I love it. My first semester average was 93, and I'm hoping that second semester stays in the same realm.

Ciao bellas!

Jumping on the bandwagon! [20 Dec 2005|10:16pm]
Well, another visit and another goodbye. Everytime I see him just concretes my feelings more. I don't know who else would play tag/hickey tag with me and not think I'm a complete weirdo.

Hoping this detracts from my missing himCollapse )

Blabbing [05 Dec 2005|04:45pm]
Well, my first semester of College is almost over! I have three tests tomorrow, then I'm pretty much done. I have the chance to write a few optional tests, but I'm not sure if I will or not.

I'm pretty darn bored right now. I want to go to Zellers and get some odds and ends, but I'm gonna wait until dinner is done.

My guinea pig, Buster, just died. He was such a good little guy, and always squeaked when he heard a plastic bag. He thought it was lettuce.

RIP Buster. We love you.

[27 Oct 2005|09:59pm]
Well, I tried to keep it under raps in hope that this would all boil over but it hasn't. So I'll let everyone know.

My Dad is clinically depressed and is going through a serious valley in life. He no longer wants to live the married life, and no longer wishes to live here. He's moving out soon, and will be gone for probably about a month. I'm not sure if it's permanent, since we've been through this before and he got over it. I've told my parents they need serious marital councilling and hopefully they work to get back on track. It's really an odd situation. They aren't divorcing, but more physically separating.

I don't even know what to feel. I'm very numb. I'm mad at my Dad because he's destroying my Mother. But at the same time, he's my Dad. He still loves us, and we still love him. I think the problem lies in the fact that my parents really have no separate identity. I told my Dad today, he's my mom's third child. She does everything for him, and he says he has no control over his own life.

I'm so frusturated, really. I'm feeling the widest spectrum of emotions. I want my Dad to move out, because I KNOW it's the only way he's gonna realise what he has. In the same vein, I don't know if I can handle waking up Sunday mornings and not having breakfast with my entire family.

So, I guess that's it. Dad's moving out. Weird. Sad. I don't even know.

[26 Oct 2005|10:08pm]
So I haven't updated in quite some time. Probably because not much is going on.

Firstly, I love Georgian College. I love being able to drive there in half an hour. And the people are 100 times friendlier than at U of T. It's nice to be around people without superior complexes. Refreshing, really.

Advertising is definitely my program. I can't wait to get into an agency and start making mad campaigns. My marks are doing pretty well, about a 90 average?

Still working weekends at East Side. Some of the girls who left for school are coming back this week, and I can't wait to have them back. I missed them. It's so weird to have your work be overhauled by new people. And maybe with more experienced people back I won't have to close Friday nights anymore. Those 10 hours shifts are brutal.

Miss my Ryan. He's gonna come down for Christmas Break sometime. We figured we'll do Christmas separately this year and then do the family business next year.

Oh yeah, I'm 20.

Anyone doing anything for Hallowe'en? I can't decide if I want to stay in and watch the kiddies come to the door, or go out. Staying in would be the wise decision, but where's the fun in being wise all the time.

Sorry for the most dry post ever. My life's pretty boring right now, but I kinda like it :)

Haven't updated in forever! [07 Aug 2005|08:11pm]
Wow, I haven't updated this thing in a LONG time. I just thought I'd throw out some random stuff:

Still working at East Side Mario's. I'm a certified trainer, bartender and server. It's paying really good money and I like the work for the most part. I've been there a year now and it doesn't seem like it's been that long. This week we're losing a lot of staff because they are all moving to go back to school. It sucks because I've become close with a lot of them and don't want to lose touch. Gillian, Jen, Jen and Meghan are girls that I often sit after work and have a drink with, and I'm going to miss that. It's weird, as Meghan and I were best friends [and I mean close knit as I've been with anyone] from Grade 1-6. Then we started working together and we're good friends again. Kinda nice :)

Starting school again in September. College this time. I'll be going to Georgian for Advertising, which I'm really excited about. Although I'm kinda nervous because I haven't been in school for 9 months now. I have to go take a placement test on Saturday for math and communications, and I haven't done an ounce of math since Grade 11. Yikes!

And the most important thing in my life is still imminent. I'm more in love with Ryan now than I ever have been. I can't wait to see him again, I'm visiting him on the 25th. We're playing in a baseball tournament even though I'm sure I'll be an embarassment to him. I love the stage of our relationship - we're aware we want to get married in two years and have children. Today I was at the potato festival and wanted to call him because I saw the most adorable blonde little boy with curly long-ish hair. I wanted to know what Ry thought of toddlers with long hair, so I had to call him. I love that he doesn't laugh at me when I call just to ask a question like that, but instead he tells me he wants a boy with longish hair too :)

I have three days off and I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. I think tomorrow I'm going to go through my closet and sell everything I don't want on Ebay. I make so much cash, but it disappears, I swear [I blame it on Ebay, where I just bought a new Guess purse :D].

I'm looking to buy a car still, just need to find the right one. I was SO CLOSE to having a four door Echo, but the man at the dealership wouldn't bargain on the price AT ALL, not even $1. So I walked. He was such an ass, I was sorry I wasted my time.

Ry and ICollapse )

Anyways, I have a killer headache and tea beckoning me, so that's about all I'm writing. There really isn't much more to say anyways. I'm a boring type of girl, but I kind of like it that way :)

Miss you Nat, Tiff and Onyx.

SUPERCOOL WEEKEND [18 Apr 2005|07:47pm]
Woohoo, I had a weekend off work and spent it wisely! Went down on Saturday to Toronto to see my girls. We shopped [well, I was more tired so I kinda sulked around] Kensington, and ate a horrible meal. But it was cheap.

Went to the Horseshoe for some Cowboy show. Couldn't really see the band, but I'm sure they were super cool. But the best part of the night was: I met Kalan Porter! haha!

Yeah, my sister is a HUGE fan of his, so I insisted on having a photo taken [nevermind how embarassing it is to have your photo taken with a Canadian Idol in a bar]. He was pretty embarassed too. I didn't even think he was old enough to drink? Anyways, since then I've gotten a little schoolgirl crush on him; I mean look at him! He's adorable! Albeit, younger than me.

But yeah, I had a blast. Got to see my stinky girls! Drank lots of wine. Played Karaoke [I RULE at Simple Plan]. AND got driven down a back alley by a taxi guy. Eep!

My photo is hawt.

NAT OR TIFFY [15 Apr 2005|06:26pm]
I guess your MSN at work isn't working, so I figured I'd leave you a message here. Just wanted to confirm I'll be there tomorrow around 2:30. Is that too early? I think Kensington closes around 6pm because it's Saturday, so I figured we should head out in the afternoon. Sound like a plan to anyone???

Let me know :D:D:D

[30 Mar 2005|11:49pm]
Oh my goodness! So Ryan was just laying across my bed, and I laid lengthwise over him with my upper body over the side of the bed. All of a sudden Ryan touches my arse and I start to move off him because I HATE people touching my butt! Ends up that I ROLLED off the bed and Ryan landed on me, namely my FACE!!! My nose is so sore right now, but we laughed so hard. It was classic, really.

I'm sure it won't recieve as many results... [30 Mar 2005|10:36pm]
But please take my quiz as well :)

I made a Quiz for you! Take my Quiz! and then Check out the Scoreboard!

It's medium in difficulty!

Wowzers. I really don't know if I could be more excited right now! I have a shit load of money in the bank, I have a WEEK off and RYAN IS COMING DOWN TOMORROW!

I'm really so excited. We're going to my Grandma's for Easter dinner, and were going to the horseraces. Ahh!

And I'm SO happy to have a break from work. I'm exhausted!

[18 Mar 2005|01:45am]
Holy shit. I just found a photo from the first time I met Robin.

I can't believe how much I've changed. It looks like I've lost weight too!

Informal Poll [10 Mar 2005|05:01pm]
Who thinks the name Reggie is cute for a boy?

I really do. [06 Mar 2005|11:00pm]
I have the best boyfriend in the World. After I talked to him about my serious ill-confidence issues, he left a message on my phone while I was at work, just to tell me he loved me. I don't know what I ever did do derserve such an amazing person to walk through life with.

Life is nice! [04 Mar 2005|10:34pm]
I'm quite happy in life right now. I think it shows that hard work and good karma can ACTUALLY bring happiness.

First, I have my bed! I'm so happy with this because I bought it ENTIRELY myself, had it shipped and put it together by myself. It's MY bed. Well, mine and Ryan's, but you know what I mean ;)

And Ryan told me today that he got accepted to Georian as well! Which means that we will both be going there, TOGETHER. Awesome. Our plan is actually going to work.

Dad bought me Edward Scissorhands, he's so adorabl.e

Also, Ryan booked a flight to come visit me :) The 26th-31st will be spent together. Although I'm not taking it all off work, because we really need the money and I don't want my bosses to be upset with me.

ALSO Roll up the Rim is back at Tim Horton's. Lame, but I LOVE this contest. I never win anything, but it's so exciting to finish a coffee and rrrrroll up the rim!

Work is going REALLY well, we won the comepition that I was chosen as a team leader for. So I think that looks pretty damn good on my part! We won $50 each and I got to make up my schedule for next week :) I work a lot, and I'm so happy! $$$. Only, today was payday and I forgot to pick up my cheque. Der!

Tomorrow I work a split, hopefully it will be more busy than it was tonight. I only made $70 tonight. Boo!
